During this service, we remembered those who have passed
from May 18, 2019 through June 30, 2021.
The Georgia Funeral Directors Association (GFDA) is pleased to announce the following individuals

Meet Darren Day, Secretary
Darren Day, Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer and Certified Funeral Service Practitioner (CFSP) was born in Thomaston, GA, where he graduated from Upson-Lee High School in 1996. After high school he moved to Valdosta, GA, and attended Valdosta State University. He began working for Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home, now Fletcher-Day Funeral Home, in Thomaston in 1998. Darren is a 2000 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service. In 2003 he married his wife Jodie, and they have two children, Colton and Kinsleigh. Darren and his family are members of the First Baptist Church of Thomaston where he serves as a Deacon. He is also a member of the Thomaston Sertoma Club, serves on the Board of Directors of the Thomaston Upson Chamber of Commerce and The Thomaston Downtown Development Authority, and is president of the Thomaston Upson Arts Council. Darren is an accomplished musician and plays saxophone with several different groups.
Darren believes that the GFDA offers many opportunities and helpful advice for funeral directors and funeral homes in Georgia during times of change in our industry, and he looks forward to taking an active role in the leadership of this organization.
