As a GFDA Member, you will become part of an active, well-known association that protects and promotes the interests of funeral service, its members, and the communities they serve. For over 100 years, we have promoted excellence in funeral service by providing great services and education to help you and your business.  GFDA Members have access to valuable resources and training to assist in serving their communities, tools for their business needs, discounted event pricing where they can earn the required Continuing Education for their license, and more. 

  • GFDA Alerts directly in the email inbox and access to our Member Page. Each contains important and timely business tools, news, and announcements. Learn the latest GFDA news including upcoming events, Legislative Reports from our lobbyist Charlie Watts, Classifieds and Job Board notices, and Member News. You will also receive updates from National Funeral Directors Association and regulatory agencies, such as the Federal Trade Commission, Georgia Board of Funeral Service, and the Georgia Department of Public Health & State Office of Vital Records. 
  • Access to our Marketing Alliance Partner and Choice Colleague programs which offer discounts and special programs for your business. 
  • In-person and virtual events designed for education and networking.  Our events offer over 12 hours of Continuing Education hours annually. GFDA Members receive discounted pricing. 
  • Access to the NFDA Music License and Music Webcasting Licenses. Members of GFDA are eligible to purchase these licenses directly from NFDA, as part of our state affiliation with NFDA.
  • Inclusion in our online Funeral Home and Affiliate Locators. Each directory is user friendly, are searchable by firm or company, and have a direct link to the member’s website.      
  • GFDA is the only NFDA State Affiliated Association in Georgia.


  • Our 2024 Membership renewal season will open in October 2023.   
  • Membership renewals will be due by January 1, 2024.
  • A fully completed and signed form must be returned to the GFDA office. Incomplete forms will not be processed. 
  • Use one form per funeral home location (Firm), company representative (Affiliate), Individuals, Student, Retired or Honorary Member.   
  • Payment instructions are included on the form.  Please review them carefully and follow the directions.
