Open Positions

General Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Assisting families with planning meaningful funeral/memorial services and following through to be sure all details are planned. This includes contacting ministers, churches, cemeteries, military honors, fraternal organizations, newspaper notices, police escorts, etc. Also responsible for obtaining information for all legal documents. Assisting families with pre-planning.
• Directing and overseeing funeral/memorial services.
• Preparation Room responsibilities will include embalming, dressing, preparing deceased for viewing for burial or cremation, and casketing of deceased.
• Responsible for setting up equipment for funeral/memorial service including, chapel, church, graveside, etc.
• Make removals and work on-call schedule including rotating nights and weekends.
• Willing to be a part of community and be involved with civic organizations or any interest candidate may have.

Education Experience Required Skills: 

• Georgia Funeral Director and Embalmer license or able to obtain.
• Proficiency in overall computer skills such as Word, Excel, etc. and funeral related software used for case files, accounting, and video production.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.
• Must pass background check and drug test.
• Must be willing to work with team oriented staff.

• Direct funeral services with professionalism and sensitivity
• Perform embalming and preparation in accordance with all state and federal regulations

• Provide ongoing support and guidance to families throughout the process

Qualifications:

• Current Georgia Funeral Director License (required)
• Current Georgia Embalmer License (required)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Professional demeanor with a high level of integrity
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
