Presentation Submissions
The GFDA Executive Committee accepts presentation submissions to assist our attendees in fulfilling their Continuing Education requirements.
Presentation topics of particular interest are: FTC Funeral Rule Compliance; Embalming and Restorative Arts; Leadership and Development; Crematory/Alkaline Hydrolysis; OSHA Requirements; Advertising/Social Media/Technology; Funeral Directing/Aftercare; Ethics; Alternative Disposition.
For consideration, submissions must be sent to staff@gfda.org with specific details regarding the presentation and speaker, including but not limited to the following information:
- Clear and concise program description with details of what attendees will learn and length of program
- No less than three specific learning objectives
- Presenter's name, current title, biography with past presentation experience, and contact information
- Previous Continuing Education approval by Funeral Service Boards
- Presentation fees including details regarding travel expenses, room accommodations, or other applicable fees. If the program will be sponsored, details about the sponsoring company should be included.
Submission deadlines for consideration for 2026-2027 Events:
- 2026 Fall Events: July 10, 2026
- 2027 Winter/Spring Events: September 10, 2026
- 2027 Summer Events: November 10, 2026
