Robert Earl Dehart

Mr. Robert Earl Dehart age 89 of Mineral Bluff died Sunday September 11, 2016.

Mr. Dehart was born May 19, 1927 in Fannin County the son of the late Robert T. and Hattie Millholland Dehart. He was a graduate of Fannin County High School ,retired from the Cities Service Company where he worked as a supply clerk, was a US. Army veteran serving in WWII, member and Deacon of Toccoa Baptist Church. Earl was an active member of the Fannin County Republican Party, enjoyed gardening, NASCAR and Bluegrass music, having been a member of Johnny and Gerald and the Georgia Mountain Boys band for many years. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Dehart, brother, Garnett Dehart, sister; Edna Ellis. 

Survivors include: wife Rethel Harris Dehart, son and daughter-in-law: Donald and Diane DeHart, Ellijay, grandchildren; Joey and Lindsey DeHart,Woodstock Kellie and Matthew Davenport, Blue Ridge, Brian and Brandi Byrd, Ellijay, Hannah and Chris Mullinax, Ellijay, 6 great-grandchildren, sisters; Gladys Killian, Marietta, Hazel Dehart, Mineral Bluff, several nieces and nephews also survive. Special Caregivers; Rebecca Hubner, Martha Wilson and Tonya Michael.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00pm from the Toccoa Baptist Church in Morganton, Ga with Rev. Joe Dan Wilkins and Rev. Edward Ledford officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the church Wednesday from 1 until the funeral hour of 2:00pm. The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 6pm until 9pm at the funeral home.
