Luther Lee Fouche, 93, of Athens, passed away Friday, February 10, 2017.

A native of Madison County, Mr. Fouche was a son of the late Dan Fouche and Anna Barber Fouche. He was a Methodist minister serving the Bishop-Farmington-High Shoals-Salem Circuit in the 1950's. Mr. Fouche was a funeral director in Athens for over 50 years. He bought McDorman Funeral Home from Clyde McDorman and owned and operated it until 1973 when he joined Bernstein Funeral Home. Mr. Fouche retired from Bernstein's at age 89. He was a member of Mt. Vernon Masonic Lodge and Young Harris Memorial United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy "Dottie" Arnold Fouche and several siblings.

Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 13 at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Bernstein Funeral Home with Pastor Kevin Marable officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m., prior to the service.
